For those wondering about the significance, let's break it down. The ISO 27001:2022 is centred around an Information Security Management System (ISMS). An ISMS is a comprehensive framework of policies and practices that an organisation adopts to manage and minimise risks to its vital information assets. This accreditation is a prestigious, globally recognised standard that signifies excellence in data protection. In Australia, ISO compliant organisations are registered and recognised by a centralised body called JAS-ANZ. It is also where you can go to search and validate a business touting the ISO 27001 accreditation standard is indeed registered and compliant. Organisations that bear this mark have proven that they prioritise and effectively implement top-tier data protection strategies. Securing this accreditation required rigorous checks and evaluations by independent experts in a two staged audit approach. We're delighted to share that their scrutiny highlighted our dedication and excellence in data security as we were awarded our three year accreditation in September 2023.

Whilst the accreditation lasts 3 years before needing to externally review again, we run quarterly internal audits and review cycles to ensure that it isn’t just another certification on the wall, but a safer and more intentional way of handling the data that is held within our organisation.
